![]() I wonder if I can get this to run on my Steam Deck just as good as on my desktop by copying the prefix and the Proton 7 directory from my desktop over to the deck. Fighting monsters is as standard can be, and what keeps things stimulating is the variety of the environment, puzzle solving, spectacle, and the exploration to be had. It's just the Warmastered Edition that has these issues. Darksiders: Warmastered Edition is a polished and shiny bronze medal. No skipping, everything is in working order. Edit: Darksiders 2 works just fine as well. Instead of getting the scene with the angel captain and the destroyer, it just skips me straight to the fight. However, I DO NOT recommend this approach! While the game runs and the cutscenes play the playback is very slow with massive A/V async issues and even worse the controller mappings are messed up to a point where the game is unplayable. Any cutscenes and the like are skipped as well. I tried this on my Steam Deck to work around 's requirement of cabextract. That did the trick.Īnother solution I tried was using the old Proton-5.11-GE-3-MF as a solution that does not require to perform as mentioned above (still requires the mfplat.dll however). ![]() Lastly I copied the to Darksider's install directory. Had to run and both with -proton pointing to Darksider's pfx folder and Proton 7 install folder with corresponding env vars. ![]() However still no luck with cutscenes without tinkering. This is with the version from EGS installed with Heroic Games Launcher. Game "just works" using proton 7.0.6, including proper controller mappings (tested with Steam Controller) and without crashes (at least not in the cathedral - I finished that entire area including the boss fight with Tiamat just yesterday).
